Missouri Wine, in Brief

Missouri has one of the deepest wine histories in the country. German immigrants built the Hermann wine district in the 1840s, the state was the second-largest producer before Prohibition, and Augusta became the very first American Viticultural Area in 1980, eight months before Napa.
