Kentucky Wine, in Brief

Kentucky was America's largest wine producer in the 1860s, and the vineyards have been coming back over the past thirty years, often on former tobacco farms. Most wineries lie in the central Bluegrass region around Lexington and along the Ohio River, within easy reach of the bourbon distilleries.
